7th Math
I’m an East Texas girl born and raised. I graduated from Canton High School in 2001, moved to Waco that summer, and attended McClennan Community College, where I earned my Associate of Arts in Elementary Education degree. After that, I moved to Denton to attend the University of North Texas where I graduated in 2005 with my Bachelor’s of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (Early Childhood-4th grade).
In Texas I am certified to teach Early Childhood-4th grade and 4th grade-8th grade.
In 2005 I started my teaching career teaching kindergarten in Sanger ISD, where I taught for two years. During that time, I obtained my certification in 4th-8th grade. In 2007 I moved to Lake Dallas Elementary where I taught 5th and 2nd grades. I’ve taught self contained, team, and departmentalized formats. This is my 16th year teaching, but my second in Eustace ISD. I love teaching 7th grade math!
My husband and I have been married since March 2003, and will soon celebrate our 18th anniversary. We have one child, a boy, who will turn 10 this summer.
We just got our first family dog this summer, a Shih-Tzu puppy named Chewbacca, who we call Chewy, for short. We also have two danio fish named the Fish-kateers, a sucker fish named Poseidon.
I love to craft, go to Michaels/Hobby Lobby, read, and color. We also love the Texas Rangers and try to get to as many games as we can during the season. As you’ll be able to tell from my classroom, I LOVE Harry Potter and all things related.
