Education

Educational History:

Mrs. Herring graduated from high school with honors from Leon I.S.D. in Jewett, Texas. She then went on to further her education at Sam Houston State University, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree. After serveral years in the human service field; she decided for a career change and went through iTeach Texas to earn her teaching certification as a 4-8 Generalist.

Degrees and Certifications:

She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice.

Teaching Certification through iTeach Texas as a Generalist in grades 4th-8^th.

Professional Experience

Current Position:

Mrs. Herring started teaching at Eustace Middle School in the Fall of 2013 as a 7^th Grade English Language Arts for 4 years. She started teaching 6^th Grade Science in the Fall of 2017. This is her 8^th year teaching 6^th grade Science.

Previous Position:

Prior to teaching Mrs. Herring worked for the Andrews Center as a Rehab Casemanager for over five years. She also worked as a Treatment Technician for a long term residential treatment center for drugs and alcohol. While she was in college she worked as a Correctional Officer for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice-Institutional Division.
