About Me

Educational History:

Graduated High School from North Garland in 1991

Received my College Degree at the University of Texas at Tyler with a BS in History and a minor in Social Studies. Graduated with Cum Laude Honors and was inducted into the Phi Alpha Theta Chapter in the field of History. 

I have been a an Employee of Eustace ISD since 2018 and currently U.S. History and Coach Cross Country and Girls Track and Field.

Current Position:

I have been employed with this District since the 2018-2019 school year and started out as an Inclussion Aid and Coach. I started teaching in the Classroom school year 2020-2021, so this will be my 7th year at the school and 5th year in the classroom. I taught Texas History the first 4 years and currently teaching a couple classes of 8th grade U.S. History. I am also the Middle School Girls Athletic Coordinator for this upcoming year coaching Cross Country, Girls Track and Field, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Girls Athletics.

Previous Position:

In 1992 I joined the U.S. Army and served as an Infantryman until I retired as a Rifle Company First Sergeant in 2013. I have accumilated four Combat deployments (51 months) in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Over my 21 year career as a Soldier I have accumilated numerous awards for Achievment, Meritorious service, and Valor. My top 3 awards was the Bronze Star with Valor and two Oakleaf Clusters, Purple Heart, and Meritorious Service Medal with two Oackleaf Clusters.

My military career has had big impact on how I teach. I am very stuctured, discipline oriented, and punctual. My expectations for the class is the same.

Family Information:

I’ve been married to the love of my life Kristie for 12 years, my wife works at the Intermediate Campus with 5th grade SPED. I have 5 children, 4 have graduated and living their life in the real world, my youngest is at the Intermediate Campus starting the 3rd Grade. I live on a small farm/ranch so I have lots of animals I care for. I have 11 cows, 1 Horse, 1 pony, and 2 cats.

Personal Information:

When I am not teaching or coaching, most of my time is spent on taking care of the property. There is always something that needs to be done. But when I have the chance, I like to golf, fish, hunt, and of course relax on a beach.
