In 1992 I joined the U.S. Army and served as an Infantryman until I retired as a Rifle Company First Sergeant in 2013. I have accumilated four Combat deployments (51 months) in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Over my 21 year career as a Soldier I have accumilated numerous awards for Achievment, Meritorious service, and Valor. My top 3 awards was the Bronze Star with Valor and two Oakleaf Clusters, Purple Heart, and Meritorious Service Medal with two Oackleaf Clusters.
My military career has had big impact on how I teach. I am very stuctured, discipline oriented, and punctual. My expectations for the class is the same.
I am married, my wife works at the Intermediate campus. I have 5 children, 3 have graduated and living their life in the real world, 1 is in High School, and my youngest is at the Primary Campus. I live on a small farm/ranch so I have lots of animals I care for. I have 11 cows, 1 Horse, 1 pony, 2 cats.
When I am not teaching or coaching, most of my time is spent on taking care of the property. There is always something that needs to be done. But when I have the chance, I like to golf, fish, hunt, and of course relax on a beach.
